Further to the above, Dietrich Mateschitz owns the Red Bull Racing Team. It is not owned by a Thai family. This has not prevented an advert being shown on Thai television that features a Thai man in racing gear stating that 'Red Bull Racing belongs to Thai people'.

Red Bull Racing is one of two Formula One teams owned by Austrian beverage company Red Bull (the other being Scuderia Toro Rosso). The team is based in Milton Keynes in the UK but holds an Austrian licence. Official owner is Dietrich Mateschitz. Former austrian F1 driver Gerhard Berger holds a 50% stake in the team. Sorry, but there is no Thai involved.

I Agree, the Red Bull Racing Team is the dream of the Austrian who has spent huge amounts of his own money to develop the team, and thus the sport. The Thai end of the business has had very little to do with the sport. This isn't one for us Thais to be proud of I'm afraid.

I like your article but the statement about the team being owned by the Thai family is grossly inaccurate.
The team is owned by the Austrian tycoon who bought the right to use RedBull logo from Khun Chaleo. I'm however indirectly proud that the Thai brand is prominent on the world stage which is a very rare phenominon.

I'm sure he will do a good job for Thai.

Thailand has many skill players, but we lack of strength, principle, and the right tactic to play.

Hope Robson will correct it for us.

All the best for you Robbo. Cheers!

Last timer I looked the British Isles was part of Europe, admittedly not on the mainland but we are Europeans too!!.
As for Europeans being cheaper, certainly not in the Premier league, check out Benetez's salary at Liverpool.

Much better to decide for an italian manager:
Finally: Italy is champion of the world with an avarage team - thanks to Lippi's work. England is winning as never in the past 40 years with Capello, Ancelotti rules with Chelsea and Trapattoni is driving Ireland to South Africa.
