Future teacher
“When I graduate, I would like to get a job as a government teacher, I will certainly carry out my duties to help the society”
My name is Sirikorn Kijkongpana and was awarded with Bangkok Post Foundation scholarship . I am now in my third year, studying in Faculty of humanities & Social Welfare, major in English language.
I also undertake a teaching training session at Krapyai Wong Kusol Pitayakom school, Ban Pong District, Rajchaburi province.
With this letter, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation Kijto the Bangkok Post Foundation for awarding me this valued scholarship. Without the foundation support I would not be able to achieve with my education .
As a child, it was my hope and dream to pursue a teaching career. My study grades may not be outstanding. However with my ambition to become a teacher, my interest to teach young students, my intention to earn my living so I would be able to care of my parents, I have a courage to follow my dream.
However, I found things were not running so smoothly. I struggled to meet school work. Prior to getting this scholarship, I had to work for money. I took all sorts of odd jobs at weekends and holidays. I served food in restaurants, and also work at Seven-Eleven stores, so I could earn enough to pay for education costs. Class mates are able to read and catch up with lessens during holidays and weekends. Sadly with odd jobs I had no time to do that.
The Bangkok Post Foundation funding helped me so much. No enough words could be said to express my thankful gratitude for this financial support. Thanks to the foundation which has lighten up my school life, , my dream and my future.
When I graduate, I would like to get a job as a government teacher, I will certainly carry out my duties to help the society just like the Bangkok Post Foundation aim in helping the society.
I will ensure that the foundation funding is worthwhile and carefully spent.
