Opposition party on Wednesday proposed the postponement of Thailand's hosting of Asean summit, claiming that the general public do not accept Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya for his connection with the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD).
Surapong Towijakchaikul from the Puea Thai party, the reincarnation of the dissolved People Power party, claimed that leaders from China and Vietnam do not want to join the summit because the global community do not accept how this government came into power.
He then called on the Justice Ministry to speed up its investigation on the phone tapping case claimed by its minister Pirapan Salirathavibhaga.
On the United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) members who threw eggs at Democrat chief adviser Chuan Leekpai on Tuesday, Mr Surapong said he has no hands in the act.
He also defended the anti-government group, saying that they have the right to rally, just like what the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) had done before.
