Govt moves Asean summit to Hua Hin

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva announced on Wednesday the change of the venue of the 14th summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) to be hosted by Thailand.

The summit, which was earlier planned to be held in Bangkok, will be moved to the resort town of Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan province for security reasons, Mr Abhisit told reporters.

The summit would be divided into two parts, he added.

The first part of the summit will be held from February 27 to March 1, while the second part will be held around the end of April.

The decision came after the anti-government group United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) threatened to block the summit.

    To Sloth and wtf.

You are all both so right in your views on the political issues in Thailand of today. It is nice to see that we have such enlightened people in our growing PAD movement. Now I fully understand that we have spent our money wisely.

Come to think of it. Now that we have kicked this toxic Usurper (Yes that’s THAKSIN) out of office and reclaimed our birth given right to govern this country, now we really have the opportunity to stop this nonsense permanently and set up hinders for such an obscure situation to ever reoccur again. These ignorant, poor, northern excuses of non human low life must once and for all learn the basic fact that their opinions never again will bear any weight when it comes to governing this country.

Now that we can rightfully claim we gained power in a democratic fashion, we must learn from history and set up solid barriers that secures our future for the next one thousand years and secure us the position where we belong; in charge of the political power of this amazing nation. To obtain that goal we must make sure we can stay in control of courts, the army and the police as we have established the last couple of years. This is the very important lesson history taught us. Then we of course must make sure that the press continue to write the stories we want them to tell. Obviously we’re in good progress there already.

But of course the sad fact will still remain, that there will no matter how much we suppress the media, remain a few of these dreadful, poor, ignorant losers up north and in Isaan. Well history have given us a lesson there to; we can put up special camps to relocate an re-educate these people in what is truly in their best interests and sole true conception of life. Simple, but the final solution to the problem this nation now and ever after is going to face.

And for this BLASTING AND IRRITATING DREY; please remember that it not only Saddam who have weapons of mass destruction. I guess gassing you will be the appropriate answer for you.

So thank you both, one more time wtf and Sloth for joining our fantastic PAD movement. Really hope you were satisfied with your payslip, don’t worry there’s a lot more coming now that we’re back in the control of government. You know what they say; if you’re not with us you’re against us and if so we must crush you literally like an insect.

Noi get a life - that's all you got is a quip? I could write a book about why Thaksin's machine is criminal, illegitimate, and undemocratic - I could also write a book about why the Democrats are no better ... what about you?

Sorry Red Storm, but the 30 UDD protesters left are busy dishonoring their families at the Governments House. I don't think they'll make it to Hua Hin in time no matter how many buffalo are pulling their cart.

Also, I'm pretty sure the people in Hua Hin wouldn't take too kindly to a bunch of paid thugs terrorizing their town. Remember Bangkok is just about the limit of UDD's reach. Issan may have numbers, but amongst the number of cultures in Thailand, from Central, to Southern, to Thai Islamic - Issan really does stand alone politically - and they have no more right than Bangkok's elite to dictate which direction the country goes. They certainly have no right causing trouble in Hua Hin.

    To LAUGHINGSTOCK (Levenfeld),

YOU DID A VERY CORRUPT WROTTEN DISGUSTING ILLEGAL THING YESTERDAY. YOU USED MY SCREEN NAME "DREY" TO TYPE WHATEVER MESSAGE(S) YOU WANTED ALL OVER THIS BOARD.

IF I DO NOT RECIEVE AN APOLOGY FROM YOU POSTED ON WHERE YOU USED MY SCREEN NAME ILLEGALLY I WILL CONTACT THE BANGKOK POST, GET YOUR REAL CONTACT INFORMATION AND TAKE YOUR DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR TO COURT.

SO, YOU HAVE OPENED YOUR TRUE COLORS FOR ALL TO SEE. ARE YOU NOW ANY DIFFERENT THAN THAKSIN? THE MAN YOU VILLIFY AS BEING SO CORRUPT, WROTTEN, ILLEGAL AND DISGUSTING? ARE YOU THE BEST EXAMPLE OF WHAT THE OTHER SIDE HAS TO OFFER? I REST MY CASE.

AS FOR THE GARBAGE YOU SPEW CLAIMING EVERYONE IS ME THAT DOESN'T SEE EYE TO EYE WITH YOU AND WALK YOUR WALK OR TALK YOUR TALK. NOBODY CARES. ONLY YOU!

    Suggestions to UDD:
Lay seige on that city, picket the venue, block the highways, creat congestion in the vicinity, block the beachfront, blockade the sea routes, put frogmen and demolition teams in the waters, fire a few 40mm rounds into the bush and later throw these old farts into the sea.

Abhisit, have you ever wonder why most Thai people do not like you?

And why your century old masters chose you to be their puppet?

Put the city under seige. There are just a few roads in and out of that city. Make them feel the pain....

    To Whom It May Concern:

It is common sense that as host you need to be hospitable and protect your guests from any inconveniences. Abhisit is just being civil.

You claim that red shirts are everywhere then that spells trouble everywhere!!! It's happening.

Little boy Abhisit is playing hide-and-seek with Thai people whom he claim to represent!

A lonely boy, all he has done in his life is to please elders. He is the ultimate puppet for the greedy old power in Thailand. He wants to be a good boy…a good lapdog.

This is so much fun to watch; more pop corn please.

To all the red shirts. Is this all you can do. Go on like this, you days will be numbers and your beloved Thaksin will go broke and be in jail by year end. You've got to try harder ! Prove to me that you can do better, will you ? I will be watching with interest.
