Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva will inform public on a national television the government's performance in the middle of this month, government spokesman Sathit Wongnongtoey said Thursday.

The special programme will be held on Jan 18, from 9 to 10am.

It will be broadcasted on NBT station.

The programme will focus mainly on informing the public the work of the government, he said.

If the opposition party would like to speak on a national television, it would have to wait for the royal endorsement of the opposition leader first, he added.

Thank you for your support Andre M.

It feels good to know that we have so many people behind us in this glorious PAD movement. As you know the only regret I have is that we must wear yellow shirts, even if we all like brown shirts better.

I’ve lost your account number Andre M. Can you send it one more time and you’ll receive 30 silver.

To All Foriegners who agree with all that has happened for "the good of the country" SHAME ON YOU.

As a foriegner living or just visiting you should be good teachers of Democracy for all Thai's.

You don't destroy the foundation of Democracy, the Constitution, it is all that a nation can stand behind hand in hand. It was, pre-coup, a similar constitution that we free people in UK, France, America, Australia, etc. enjoy. Everything we learned at school in our home countries about Equality, Justice and Freedom revolves around our constitution. We would NEVER allow it to be manipulated for the benefit of one versus the whole.

You don't throw away the two party system which are absolutely essential to a balanced government,

You don't abandon the checks and balances and equal powers between the Electorate, Judiciary, Executive and Military branches. If you don't like your leader wait until the next election and vote someone else in. If your leader did something illegal impeach him, prosecute him as you would all do in your birth countries.

You would never allow any of these things to happen in your birth country. You would NEVER condone it!

Why should you (how can you?) justify any of it here and not be labeled a hypocrite?

Shame on you to say that "Thailands Democracy" is different so this is "acceptable",

Shame on you to change the same principles you grew up with and cherish openly in your birth countries to be so easily abandoned,

Shame on you to justify a military coup! Especially in a country with a fledgling Democracy which just freely elected its first EVER Prime Minister by way of popular vote.
Each and every country post-coup emphatically stated "We do not condone any military coup that usurps the prinicples of Democracy and its freely elected leaders...we wish for Thailand to return, as soon as possible, to its Democratic principles by way of free and open elections...".

Shame on you to offer a future for all Thai's of nothing more than strife, division, polarization and military involvement for the foreseeable future.

One Man One Vote. We have only One Voice, make it count for something.

Be good teachers of Democracy. It is all we have to offer in all this right?

    To Sloth and wtf.

You are all both so right in your views on the political issues in Thailand of today. It is nice to see that we have such enlightened people in our growing PAD movement. Now I fully understand that we have spent our money wisely.

Come to think of it. Now that we have kicked this toxic Usurper (Yes that’s THAKSIN) out of office and reclaimed our birth given right to govern this country, now we really have the opportunity to stop this nonsense permanently and set up hinders for such an obscure situation to ever reoccur again. These ignorant, poor, northern excuses of non human low life must once and for all learn the basic fact that their opinions never again will bear any weight when it comes to governing this country.

Now that we can rightfully claim we gained power in a democratic fashion, we must learn from history and set up solid barriers that secures our future for the next one thousand years and secure us the position where we belong; in charge of the political power of this amazing nation. To obtain that goal we must make sure we can stay in control of courts, the army and the police as we have established the last couple of years. This is the very important lesson history taught us. Then we of course must make sure that the press continue to write the stories we want them to tell. Obviously we’re in good progress there already.

But of course the sad fact will still remain, that there will no matter how much we suppress the media, remain a few of these dreadful, poor, ignorant losers up north and in Isaan. Well history have given us a lesson there to; we can put up special camps to relocate an re-educate these people in what is truly in their best interests and sole true conception of life. Simple, but the final solution to the problem this nation now and ever after is going to face.

And for this BLASTING AND IRRITATING DREY; please remember that it not only Saddam who have weapons of mass destruction. I guess gassing you will be the appropriate answer for you.

So thank you both, one more time wtf and Sloth for joining our fantastic PAD movement. Really hope you were satisfied with your payslip, don’t worry there’s a lot more coming now that we’re back in the control of government. You know what they say; if you’re not with us you’re against us and if so we must crush you literally like an insect.

VETO, I do not speak for the red-shirts but I would hope they DO NOT want to do what PAD did. They do not want to have armed 'guards', they do not want to walk around armed with long metal pipes in case the police get too close. They do not want to break too many laws.

Do you understand what the UDD is protesting about? They believe that when the CONstitutional court disbanded the PPP, their vote was cancelled, and they simply want their vote back.

In a mature democracy, people respect the wishes of the people. They do not plot to usurp the elected government. Any charter that allows to happen, what happened in Thailand needs urgent re-writing.

Forget Thaksin, his presence in this debate takes peoples eyes from the real problem here. The simple thing is, that when the governing party (PPP) was dissolved, a new election should have been called immediately.

This is why the red-shirts are protesting. They are fighting for everyones right to vote.

If dems copy TRT, then redshirts WISH they could copy PAD. They know a coup the only outcome. PAD option "A", coup option "B". Redshirts in control, not an option. Agreed, enjoy gov't while you can, unless 19th coup what you desire.
    Definition of insanity:
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.(19 coups)

That would depend if the government is the government I would think. Lots of time between the byelection and the 18th for a non-confidence vote.
