Apirak happy working as PM adviser

Democrat party deputy leader and newly appointed prime minister’s adviser Apirak Kosayodhin said he is not worried about his appointment after an anti-graft commission found him guilty of being involved in the fire truck procurement scandal, which forced him to abruptly resign as the Bangkok governor in November 2008.

He said his current duty is to give advices to Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and it is not related to the scandal.

According to the former governor, the government had made careful consideration before appointing him, and believed the corruption case will not affect his performance.

"Everyone who has been invited by the premier to join his administration is working for the public and I will use my experience from working with private firms to help the government," claimed Mr Apirak.

There are many working bodies at the moment, and the prime minister will later announce their roles and responsibilities, he added.

    I come back, Grey
I do think Thailand have a kind of freedom or Democracy but no such the kind like some western or Asia countries practice.
Different countries exercise their own way according to their culture or tradition, they adapt it.
I do not know where you where you learn about Democracy but I think you have to be research more on Thai culture and this DEMOCRACY. I do not mean that I do not like state practicing democracy but there will be some appreciate on some issue. I do not like PAD and UDD.
You ask me to shut up and go away so where is freedom of speech or expression, where is HR?
I won't go but will be around in net, see you...

    Hi Drey,

No more idea? Just copy and paste?
No more time for research and new debate?
If everyone copy and paste their ideas, there will be very very boring repeated discussion...

Thank you for your support Legal Notice. It is not easy when some low life character who calls themselves by a ludicrous name like DREY always bumps up trying to steal sunshine from our movement. It’s even so frustrating some times I find my self not to enjoy my evenings out in the Ladyboybars in NANA PLAZA.

It feels good to know that we have so many people behind us in this glorious PAD movement. As you know the only regret I have is that we must wear yellow shirts, even if we all like brown shirts better.

And for you DREY; YOU KNOW WHAT WE IN THE MOVEMENT ARE PLANNING FOR YOU I GUESS. Just wait now for us in the PAD to open our special relocation and re-education camps. Then you will see what’s ahead of you.

You sure deserved your 30 in silver this time Legal Notice. Good to have your support.

Everybody should now use the name DREY for all of their postings here. There is nothing legally wrong in doing this and violates no rules of this board. Even better, it will drive away the real DREY.

To All Foriegners who agree with all that has happened for "the good of the country" SHAME ON YOU.

As a foriegner living or just visiting you should be good teachers of Democracy for all Thai's.

You don't destroy the foundation of Democracy, the Constitution, it is all that a nation can stand behind hand in hand. It was, pre-coup, a similar constitution that we free people in UK, France, America, Australia, etc. enjoy. Everything we learned at school in our home countries about Equality, Justice and Freedom revolves around our constitution. We would NEVER allow it to be manipulated for the benefit of one versus the whole.

You don't throw away the two party system which are absolutely essential to a balanced government,

You don't abandon the checks and balances and equal powers between the Electorate, Judiciary, Executive and Military branches. If you don't like your leader wait until the next election and vote someone else in. If your leader did something illegal impeach him, prosecute him as you would all do in your birth countries.

You would never allow any of these things to happen in your birth country. You would NEVER condone it!

Why should you (how can you?) justify any of it here and not be labeled a hypocrite?

Shame on you to say that "Thailands Democracy" is different so this is "acceptable",

Shame on you to change the same principles you grew up with and cherish openly in your birth countries to be so easily abandoned,

Shame on you to justify a military coup! Especially in a country with a fledgling Democracy which just freely elected its first EVER Prime Minister by way of popular vote.
Each and every country post-coup emphatically stated "We do not condone any military coup that usurps the prinicples of Democracy and its freely elected leaders...we wish for Thailand to return, as soon as possible, to its Democratic principles by way of free and open elections...".

Shame on you to offer a future for all Thai's of nothing more than strife, division, polarization and military involvement for the foreseeable future.

One Man One Vote. We have only One Voice, make it count for something.

Be good teachers of Democracy. It is all we have to offer in all this right?

Ironical. Those who are charged or found guilty ..and can be a government advisor. A so called 'honest & righteous' government need a crook advisor.

Apirak was intructed by the Interior Minister in Thaksins government, to sign the letter of credit that has lead to his downfall. Thats all. NO responsiblity has been taken by the real guilty parties the former minister and Samak who helped set up the deal. Apirak was following instructions from Thaksins govt. That's all He is not guilty of corruption at all. Those who say so are ignoring the facts that are a matter of public record.

    To Jacko, Sloth and wtf.

You are all both so right in your views on the political issues in Thailand of today. It is nice to see that we have such enlightened people in our growing PAD movement. Now I fully understand that we have spent our money wisely.

Come to think of it. Now that we have kicked this toxic Usurper (Yes that’s THAKSIN) out of office and reclaimed our birth given right to govern this country, now we really have the opportunity to stop this nonsense permanently and set up hinders for such an obscure situation to ever reoccur again. These ignorant, poor, northern excuses of non human low life must once and for all learn the basic fact that their opinions never again will bear any weight when it comes to governing this country.

Now that we can rightfully claim we gained power in a democratic fashion, we must learn from history and set up solid barriers that secures our future for the next one thousand years and secure us the position where we belong; in charge of the political power of this amazing nation. To obtain that goal we must make sure we can stay in control of courts, the army and the police as we have established the last couple of years. This is the very important lesson history taught us. Then we of course must make sure that the press continue to write the stories we want them to tell. Obviously we’re in good progress there already.

But of course the sad fact will still remain, that there will no matter how much we suppress the media, remain a few of these dreadful, poor, ignorant losers up north and in Isaan. Well history have given us a lesson there to; we can put up special camps to relocate an re-educate these people in what is truly in their best interests and sole true conception of life. Simple, but the final solution to the problem this nation now and ever after is going to face.

So thank you all, one more time Jacko, wtf and Sloth for joining our fantastic PAD movement. Really hope you were satisfied with your payslip, don’t worry there’s a lot more coming now that we’re back in the control of government. You know what they say; if you’re not with us you’re against us and if so we must crush you literally like an insect.

And for all you other sorry sods, corrupion is no problem as long it's the right people like us in the Democratic that take the bribes.

Apirak is going to advise Abhisit how to be more corrupt is it? Since DEMOCRATS has not been in power for 10 years. They might have lost the touch. So they need some "experienced" people to guide them on how to be corrupt. Hahahaha
