Ex-TRT execs can attend Bhumjaithai opening: EC

Election Commission (EC) member Sodsri Sattayatham on Thursday said it is not illegal for banned politicians from the court-dissolved Thai Rak Thai (TRT) party to attend the official opening of the Bhumjaithai party.

Mrs Sodsri said the attendance of former TRT executives at Bhumjaithai’s opening in Siam City Hotel on Wednesday would not be considered against the law since they were invited as guests.

However, she said if they are found to be behind the Bhumjaithai’s formation or other political activities, they would violate the law.

“Banned politicians should know this law well,” the commissioner said.

If people join the PAD movement as members. They can Rob, Shoot, Kill and even Terrorist the Country and getting of the hook of law. Well they can even get Minister or Advisor Post in Democrat Government.

".... if they are found to be behind the Bhumjaithai’s formation or other political activities, they would violate the law." .... how ironic. sometimes i wish thai officials are aware of what they are talking about and the implications. this is inviting more controversial issues like ..... Newin Chidchob's role in the formation of the present coalition Government?

"Mrs Sodsri said the attendance of former TRT executives .... would not be considered against the law since they were invited as guests."

With thinkers like this no wonder Thai politics is in trouble. Specific politicians do know the law and they also know that they are protected from prosecution.
