The Pittsburgh Steelers won an unprecedented sixth Super Bowl crown, defeating Arizona 27-23 in Super Bowl 43 to extend the Cardinals' 61-season title drought on Monday morning (Thailand time).
Pittsburgh captured previous Super Bowl titles in 1975, 1976, 1979 and 1980 as well as 2006 and moved past five-time champions San Francisco and Dallas.
The Cardinals took their only National Football League title in 1947 and their ongoing futility streak remains the second-longest in American sport, trailing only the 100-year wait of baseball's Chicago Cubs.
