  • Online news:

Deputy Interior Minister Boonjong Wongtrairat said he is confident that the daily phone-in of ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra to his supporters will not lead to House dissolution and the change of a new government.

General public are more concerned about economic problems related to their daily lives, he said.

On Friday night, Thaksin, speaking via video link to the red-shirt supporters, accused Privy Council President Prem Tinsulanonda and former prime minister Surayud Chulanont of being behind the 2006 coup.

He also called on Gen Prem "to stop meddling in politics."

Gen Prem and Gen Surayud have repeatedly denied his allegations.
