Red-shirts rally in Pattaya

About 300 anti-government red-shirts rallied outside the hotel in Pattaya where the cabinet meeting was being held amid tight security on Tuesday.

The hotel is also the venue  for the resumption of the 14th Asean summit and related summits, to be held from Friday until Sunday.

Leaders of the protest group, calling itself Love Democracy Pattaya, used loud speaker to demand Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya resign from office.

About 400 police were on duty there to maintain peace and order.
