Seh Daeng 'no link' to Sondhi attack

Maj-Gen Khattiya Sawasdipol, known as Seh Daeng, said he was not involved in the attempted murder of People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) leader Sondhi Limthongkul in Bangkok on Friday morning.

He said there was no reason why he would do it.

He  said he had earlier warned PAD core leaders to be careful because they have enemies.

Maj-Gen Khattiya then said outlawed former premier Thaksin Shinawatra also would not have been behind the attempted killing because he was no longer fighting with the PAD.

Maj-Gen Khattiya has previously admitted that he trained a group of red-shirts to fight the PAD guards during last year's confrontations.

Gunmen riddled Mr Sondhi's car with bullets about 5am on Friday as he was nearing the  buildnig  housing his satellite  TV station ASTV. Mr Sondhi received minor head injures.

His bodyguard was also hit and his driver critically wounded.

    Hi Boon,

in the last months there have been in Thailand actually 2 extraparliamentary political factions demonstrating on the streets:

    1. the yellow shirts which are called yellow shirts because their yellow shirts have the colour yellow. These people are also known under the name 'PAD'

    2. the red shirts which are commonly known as red shirts because the red shirts they wear actually have a reddish colour. These people are also known under the name 'UDD'.

Maj-Gen Khattiya Sawasdipol who is mentioned in the article is generally believed to be sympathizing with the RED shirts.

It is believed that this is so because the YELLOW shirts refused him to become their leader. Therefore his male macho ego was greatly hurt and he is supposed to feel jai ron mark mark and be thinking of revenge all the time now.

This guy has changed his camp and his story more times than he's had birthdays.

Personally I don't believe anything he says and I suggest he's a dangerous man.

How come people like this continue in the army? In most countries scaly people like this guy would have been weeded out years ago, probably with a dishonourable discharge.

When the majority of Thais stand up and say they won't accept such situations then we will obviously continue to see the military, the police, and many other government agencies, which currently almost answer to nobody.

Until Thais stop being ambivalent and stop saying 'not my problem', unfortanely it will all continue.

I want to travel back to Thailand to visit my professor who guided me during my master degree there. But it is too dangerous now. Can you guys stop killing each other? Didn't Thai people use to be very friendly and kind?

Now we can see the end to Thaksin. He will never be safe on Thai soil again. Good Riddance!

We are (by himself) informed that Maj-Gen Khattiya Sawasdipol, known as Seh Daeng, is not involved in the assassination attempt
Also he informs us that the fugitive Thaksin
    can not be held responsible.

So, it must be assumed that some sort of 'Bheelok' did the darstardly deed.
    File closed.

Nobody can be held responsible ! A truly thai solution.

    Is the report here correct???

.....Earlier, Maj-Gen Khattiya admitted that he had trained a group of red-shirt security guards to fight against the red-shirt security guards......
