Chaisit ready to lead Puea Thai

  • Online news:

Former supreme commander and older cousin of ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, Gen Chaisit Shinawatra, is ready to be the new leader of the opposition Puea Thai party.

Gen Chaisit said no Puea Thai members had approached him yet after Puea Thai leader Yongyuth Wichaidit affirmed that he will submit his resignation letter next week.

"I believe the appointment would be up to the person who is living abroad (Thaksin).

"If this happens to be the case, I would not be included in the list for consideration," Gen Chaisit said.

He said he had proposed himself earlier but the party did not give any response.

However, the ex-supreme commander said he had no problems with the person who is living abroad, and he would be willing to help since they are cousins.

Meanwhile, Puea Thai MP Suchart Lainamngern said the new Puea Thai leader could be one of the MPs, a military official or a businessman.

Changing the Puea Thai leader this time may allow the party to prepare for the new general election, Mr Suchart added.

    Politics Without Principles.

Neighbouring large democracies can hold elections with diferences buried for progress and behave like adversaries looking into nations priorities.

Adversaries are not enemies. Adversaries make a competition healthy and friendly and adversaries accept defeat and adhore success with asome clear objective & motive which is helpfull to the country or a group or a sports event.
Thats a spiritual state of mass mind.

But the way in which its happening in Thailand as far as Politics is concerned- inspite of advices from many respected senior statesmen of Thailand and intelectuals - its all like, (1)horse tarding and (2)political party first and country later. Its happening since more than 2-3 years.

OK, its democracy - I can do this way and I can do the other way also, intensifying injury on injury, by proving, justifying, that its all right in democracy, staying far away in exile, without even a pinch of etequate thinking how such actions and reactions are bothering nations integrity and effecting poor people.Even he calling himself a Thai citizen is stinks.

A country or nation doesnt prosper just with only money oriented political ideologies. May be it works for only sometime to gain popularity for the party. Every one knows that present day multiparty system of democracy is horse trading. Here its a case of continuous 2-3 years of only horse trading going on. Enough money earned from the people to spoil the nation.

What it matters, if one is the leader of Peu Thai party and resigns and the other becomes a leader and the path is same and all its path leads to the same destination. A destination where there is full scale national destructions.

The man in exile has realised his very expensive gross deadly mistakes what he did.

Only in exile he has learnt that he should have done the other way. But he is refusing to accept deadly mistakes he was doing for his country. Its law, and abide by the punishment first and seek other things later on.

Yes from exile he is controlling his party and hosting movements in Thailand, with pure selfish motive. At least his party members should realise. AND UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT GREAT DEMOCRACY THAILND IS, allowing a man to do what ever he wants.

We feel he should consult a right spiritual master to cleanse himself and see around himelf thru an eye of wisdom. Its very important as he still aspire to be a leader. No one can stop him as he has the money of the people of Thailand to do horse trading.

Spiritual wisdom in man brings forth democracy in clear perspective. Democractic principles of countries are to uplift the countries integrity and and uplift the people who are not happy due to injustice. Its not democracy but democratic principles more important. Just like Budhas words more important than Budha himself. If one cannot abide with the woeds of Budha - there is no point is going to Wat.

Every man raise to fall but greatand wise people
raise to become immortal in the minds of people.

Its high time now and Thai people want to breat free.

Roger, maybe you should apply to be the leader of Puea Thai, that would be easier, than changing 90 days visa to one year non immigrant. One obstacle will be the flying fugitive who is still in charge of the party, but give it a try.
