Industry Minister and Puea Pandin party leader Charnchai Chairungruang insisted the 32 Puea Pandin MPs would stick together, but said his party would not stop its members from leaving to other parties.
After about five Puea Pandin MPs participated in the Bhumjaithai party's by-election campaign in Sakhon Nakhon province, Mr Charnchai said his party is open for its MPs to move to other parties.
However, no Puea Pandin MPs have submitted a resignation letter so far.
"The Puea Pandin party still has 32 MPs.
"The MPs went to Sakhon Nakhon province as they are closely acquainted with the Bhumjaithai MPs," the Puea Pandin leader said.
He said his party, like the Bhumjaithai and Puea Thai parties, can
draw in more MPs as well.
"I cannot tell how many MPs the Puea Pandin party can attract yet, but there have been contacts from MPs from both the government and the opposition," he said.
He believed the Democrat-led coalition government would remain in office for a long time because none of the political parties at the moment are ready for another general election.
