Deputy Prime Minister for security affairs Suthep Thaugsuban said on Tuesday he will on Saturday visit Cambodia to meet with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and explain the case Thailand is mnaking to Unesco about the registration of the Preah Vihear ancient temple as a World Heritage site by Cambodia.

Mr Suthep said the petition case is a matter between the Thai government and Unesco, and had nothing to do with Cambodia, which owns the temple.

If all conflict ws cleared up, the situation between the two neighboring countries would improve, he said.

He believed beither Thailand nor Cambodia wanted any problem with each other.

It has everything to do with Cambodia.

In this case, Thai arrogance and greed knows no bounds.

By-passing Cambodia and go straight to UNESCO is just like saying to Cambodia - who do you think you are. It is none of your business. Cambodia presented their case to the UNESCO alone because Thailand was arrogant and wanted it all.

"Mr Suthep stated that the petition case is a matter between the Thai government and UNESCO, and that it had nothing to do with Cambodia."

I cannot believe this statement was made by the Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand. Isn't it too childish, Mr. Suthep? Are you kidding?
Suppose a bigger brother complaints to his mom that a toy his smaller brother is holding belongs to him. Is that the matter only between the bigger brother and mom? It has nothing to do with the smaller brother?
