Final handout of B2,000 cheques

The government will hand out the final round of its 2,000-baht gift cheques to low-income workers nationwide, starting next Tuesday.

Social Security Office secretary-general Pan Wannapinij said on Thursday that 154,943 "Help the Nation" cheques worth 309,886,000 baht in total would be given to workers during government working hours from June 30 to July 3.

The cheques will be distributed at  provincial social security offices, he said.

He said people in Bangok can receive their cheques at the social security offices in 11 districts of the capital from June 30 to July 2, but the cheques will be given out at the Bangkok Youth Centre (Thai-Japan) on July 3 from 7.30am to 4.30pm.
