Korbsak to Thaksin: Help, don't whinge

  • Online news:

Deputy Prime Minister Korbsak Sabhavasu on Monday advised fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra to stop deepening social divisions and prove his sincerity by instead helping the country overcome its economic problems.

Mr Korbsak, who is in charge of economic affairs, said Thaksin's comment on the need to seek our new export markets was an interesting idea.

"But the former prime minister should stop creating rifts in society and take the bests interests of the country into consideration, because solving the economic problems under unstable political conditions is difficult," he said.

The government had been doing its best and was listening to criticism, he said.

The deputy prime minister believed the economy would turn positive in the fourth quarter of this year.

Yes, Thaksin isn't the one dividing the nation. He's just minding his business over there in Dubai, spending his money on a shelter for abandoned camels.

Please! The guy has admitted up front that he is still running PTP, the UDD, and has gone as far as appointing his own family members to act as nepotist representatives for him in his absence. He urged his UDD rent-a-mob to over throw the government to make way for his very illegal return to power. Then he said they weren't even UDD members when it got out of hand and his protest fizzled. The guy is a nutjob up there with Kim Jong Ill and Pol Pot, only he hasn't gotten his hands on an obedient or competent army - yet.

Thailand needs a third option. Watching the Dems and PTP race to the bottom over the last 10 years has been truly sad, and of course the people are the only ones that really suffer.

The Democrats have shown that all they can really do well is borrow, borrow and borrow some more.

The DPM should not forget that Thaksin did not create the present social divide. It's already here through the PC, elites, military. Thaksin was oust through unconstitutional means and the present government came to power through a series of unconstitutional events. Double standard judiciary is rampant under this government dictated by the mastermind.

It is the present government that keep hounding him and practicing of double standard that the society came out to defense freedom, rule of law, democracy and justice. Don't point the accusing figure, look at yourself.

Thaksin cannot help as you suggested when you keep hounding him, convict him under a double standard judiciary.

Its funny how this government is now asking for help and advice from Thaksin since once the democrats said Thaksin managed the economy poorly its too funny! So ironic, i thought the democrats are to prove themselves seems like that is not working!
