Deputy Prime Minister for security affairs Suthep Thaugsuban said before leaving for Cambodia on Saturday morning that Thailand has no policy to cut number of military force deployed along Thai-Cambodia border for the time being.

Mr Suthep stated that he was assigned by the prime minister to attend the opening ceremony of No 67 highway in Cambodia on his behalf. Thailand had provided 1.2 billion baht soft loan for the construction of this highway which links cities of the two neighboring countries. The highway will help promote trade and tourism between the two nations. Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen will preside over the ceremony today.

The deputy premier insisted that the troop withdrawal was not on the discussion agenda of his today trip as it is the matter of security units of both Thailand and Cambodia. He was confident that the situation along the border will not escalate to violent confrontation between the two countries.

It is very easy to understand but confusing to the public. This Thai Govt does according to the power of a Thai man. I think, we all know but he never dare to show to the public that he is doing so to his country. Please think of people live staying behind you that would be death because of you. PM & DPM, are you happy and people said that you are such non-sense kids?. It is even worse than a child. Mental Problem Gov't. Ba! ... Dont say of the stupid thing, no one would say that you are Deaf. You bring Siam Nation into another pictures in the World.

How could they settle this freaky problem? I think Thai is afraid to take a deep stance facing Khmer, and international judge. He wants to turn his country to be patriot even in the wrong thing.

This government administration seems to be childish. Once said"troops withdrawal", once again said"no troops reduction". Now DPM comes to meet Hun Sen again. Maybe he'll say"add more troops and start the war" . Does the government need the war or calmness with neighbouring country? Does this government's issue encourage the popularity for future election? The loan is being searched for starting the war or solving the economic crisis? If so the people will bear this loan. Dying is better than living!

Like other people, I get confused because of DPM Suthep. He did annouce clearly on the media that TODAY, Thailand will cut the troops but NOW he said NO Plan to cut. Is this a joke played by one of the top leaders or a child?
It doesn't make sense to me to have this government managing Thailand affair. One speaks X today and tomorrow does Y. And the one responsible for foreign affair keeps quiet, not knowing what he can do. The man ordering the troop just does what he wants without thinking about his own country reputation, the reality, the international law, good neighbor relationship and ignore everything!

    Dear, Thai people,

As you've heard before, in the serveral border problem solving meeting so far between your government and Cambodia, your government always highlighted that the troops can not withdraw from Cambodia 's territory unless there is an approval from the Thai National Assembly to do so. But when the Thai troops invaded Cambodia's territory, your government never said that the National Assembly approved to do so. This's some short of delay the problem solving with tricks of your government. The International court awarded the Preah Vihear temple and land surrounding to Cambodia since 1962 based on the internationally recognized map that even your government at that time accepted as well. Why your government just raised it up that the 4.6Km2 near the Preah Vihear temple is yours? Why your govenment do not look at the map that made in 1904 & 1907 with an official treaty between French & Thai? Your government accepted and signed agreement with hand and breach/terminate the agreement by using their foot to sign!. Your government takes no responsible at all to the ASEAN community as well as Internationally. If your government still use the unilateral map that's done by your government alone without acceptance from Cambodia and International, your government is a problem maker. Please the Thai government accepts the truth and forgets the past and starts cooperate each other to promote trade and peaceful border relation for both benefit of Thai and Khmer. This's so useful as being a neighboring country. Whatever that you build is whatever that you'll get, so if your government want to create war, your governement will get war and finally there is no one win. We surely just get the loss of both sides...loss people's live, loss infrastructure and so on. Last but not least, please the Thai troops withdaw from Khmer'territory. Thanks
