Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra had agreed to phone in to a radio programme of the community radio station of Kon Rak Udon (Love Udon People) or red-shirt group from9-10 am of every Monday, group chairman Kwanchai Praiphana said on Saturday.

Mr Kwanchai, who had just returned from visiting Thaksin in Dubai, said the ex-premier wanted to respond to the Confidence in Thailand with PM Abhisit weekly programme on NBT of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, which broadcasts every Sunday morning. The chairman said Thaksin will start phoning in to his radio programme soon after he has completed his unfinished works.

He insisted that he will certainly lead red-shirt people to disrupt Mr Abhisit’s trip to Buri Ram and every other provinces that the premier will visit because he does not accept the Democrat-led government.

Typical of Red shirts" mentality that was created by the fugitive on the run.It has nothing to do with democracy, just save our hero. Thailand will end up worst than ever in history as a country whereby people are divided by selfish corrupt politicians who have no concern for the people and country.

As Discussion 8 is a hoax.

Discussion 5 - I agree with you but if memory serves me right wasn't it the PAD that didn't like the outcome and decided to start protesting? Not the Reds.

You can't have it both ways. You can't support protests by the PAD and not by the UDD, or visa versa. I do not like the PAD's rather vague agenda but I still supported their right to protest, same goes for the UDD.

And... You are also right those countries are becoming investment hubs but not totally because of the PAD or the UDD. Thailand has never been foreign investment friendly.

If a foreign company wants to open a factory in any of the countries you mention they can own 100% of it, not so in Thailand. While you can't own land in Lao, Vietnam or Cambodia, as a foreigner, either, they will bend over backward with long term renewable leases tax incentives and infrastructure. Usually not available in Thailand especially for smaller companies. Lao will approve or deny your lease within 7 days try that out in Bangkok it takes that long to get across the city.

These countries are outstripping Thailand because they are outsmarting Thailand. When the Junta put in that STUPID foreign holding capital rule within days Vietnam was offering incentives to foreigners and Thai companies that wanted to move their textile plants to Vietnam.

The problem with foreign investment has laid on the shoulders of the Thai government since we got independence and they have done nothing about it because they are too greedy and want to always control all business.

Great. Then presumably we can trace the call and know where he is rather than just endless speculation and ridiculous BP amateurish headlines like "Thaksin not in ......(please fill in the gap)" How about it Abhisit/Attorney General/Anybody else who wants to be seen to be doing anything rather than ACTUALLY doing something? Or is it, as I suspect, just you guys doing what you know best - posturing and feeding the public BS?

It's time all people of the world, not only Thai's, stood up and said "NO WAY" to taxxin and his criminal friends who regularly visit him. He is nothing less than a greedy corporate criminal worthy of capital punishment in my eyes, and the rest of the world's eyes also.

    Isn't it wonderful !!

A free country where everybody can speak freely and openly even though in this case where the fugitive criminal will pollute the air once again.
It is NOT like the days when he was PM, as by that time all opponents was "slapped" or even worse if they said anything bad about him.

A Royal pardon for him....you must be kidding.

RicefieldRadio, if every little village that didn't like the outcome, claimed it was not legitimate and caused trouble, then anarchy would reign supreme. Every day that you people cause trouble, the whole world sees it and you scare away investment and tourism, which in the end of the day hurts you! I'm sure Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Laos & Cambodia are all happily welcoming the investment and tourist dollars

"Isn't it time to work for the greater good" Yes and that's why it's important to rid the country of this inept government grown out of the loins of the military who does not have the backing or the support of the majority of the electorate.

It'll really help the country if everyone who feels the government isn't to their liking does everything in their power to disrupt the government. Please excuse the sarcasm.

Isn't it time to work for the greater good instead of trying to destroy the country?
