Village official killed in Pattatni

Abdul Aryuksoto, an assistant village chief of Moo2 Tambon Na Pradu of Pattani’s Khok Pho district was shot dead in front of his stall in the Tambon’s fresh market by suspected insurgents late afternoon on Saturday, police said.

Witnesses told police that while Mr Abdul was packing his belongings after finishing his trading, two suspected militants on a motorcycle parked their vehicle at the fresh market, walked straight to the victim and shot on him several times. The assistant village headman died at the scene.
