Red-shirts go ahead with Thaksin party

  • Online news:

Shinawat Haboonpad, a leader of United front for Democratic against Dictatorship (UDD), insisted on Wednesday morning that the red-shirts will certainly hold a birthday party for former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra at Sanam Luang as planned.

“Even though Bangkok Governor MR Sukhumband Paribatra said he will  not allow the UDD to hold the party at the public ground, we will show our civil disobedience and ignore his order,” Mr Shinawat said. The red shirts would gather on July 26 and the party will last from 10am to midnight.

The UDD leader insisted that there was no rift in the red-shirt people group even though another UDD leader, Jatuporn Promphan, said yesterday that the Thaksin birthday party was his idea and not supported by all leaders.

Mr Shinawat said UDD leaders had been discussing preparations for a celebration to mark Thaksin’s 60th birthday.

Mr Shinawat also said that at 10am on Thursday, red-shirts led by Charan Ditthaaphichai and Somyos Pueksakasemsuk would rally at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to pressure Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya to resign his portfolio.

''He has been charged with committing an act of terrorism and he is no longer suitable to stay in office.”

Mr Kasit was charged because he participated in the occupation of  Suvarnabhumi airport late last year by yellow-shirt supporters of the People's Alliance for Democracy.

Mr Kasit denies being part of the occupation and insists he was merely a guest speaker at the gathering.

    "Howdy Folks"
I gotta thank the "Red Shirt" guys and gals for makin' news 'bout holding a birthday party for Mr. Taksin at the "SanamLuang" (forgive me if I miss-spelt the word) multifunction public grounds (I forgot about Mr. Taksin's birthday). I do not think it's appropriate 'cuse it's too public. Another point is What does Mr. Taksin think about the idea? He's the guy having the birthday!! He should have a "say." Besides, there's that "Bangkok Governor," he sezs "NO!!" (He's a Demi Party Man) So, why make a big issue?!! You Red Shirt Guys/Gals have to learn to play it cool!! You all should turn "obstacles" into "oppertunities. Those who wanna celebrate Mr. Taksin's birthday, should go and rent/or find a suitable "place," with plenty of land space, a big hotel or something. Make it a "fund rising" affair. Make it an "Honorable and Memorable" occasion, to honour Mr. Taksin, the best Prime Minister Thailand has ever had. An occasion to be remembered in a positive way. Don't treat him like just any ordinary movie star or "LUK Toong Singer." you know what I mean?!! You Red Shirt guys and gals have got to unite, get organized, walk together, think as one. Right now you're all open to attack from all sides because you're not "ORGANIZED, United or even have a real leader!!"
Well, with all said, I really want to wish Mr. Taksin a "VERY HAPPY AND MEMORABLE BIRTHDAY!!"

Just bunch of crazy people who just want to show that they have nothing better to do in their lives than to ruin the country by dividing the people.
They (red-shirts) are just holding a party for the person who is "supporting" them. Without him they are nothing.

    World perception:

    1. Continued political division.
    2. Not the place to invest.
    3. Not the place to visit.

    Khun Tony

Khun Thaksin is on the run because of 2006 military coup, injustice, double standard in law enforcement and judiciary and retroactive law.

    Khun Fritz

My Cousin who is now 60 and will has his birthday soon. He brought up his children and they are law abiding citizens and they combined provided jobs for many Thai citizens and contributed much to the economy of Thailand. We thought of Sanam Luang, but on second thought, we decided to give moral support to Thaksin for continuing to inspire and motivate the PEOPLE to bring back justice, democracy and freedom to SIAM. To inspire and encourage hardworking citizens to improve the livelihood of Thais.

Already I want to apply for permission to hold the 58 birthday-party of my mother-in-law at the San.Luang park in Krung thep. She (my mother in law) bore 8 children, brought them up to be good citizens. Surely she is more entitled to hold an open birthday party at Sanam Luang then a criminal who fled from the law, cheated on the thai people and Thailand itself.

Now, what is your story Khun Shinawat ??

    ***
Advice: Don't put too much faith in the naivete of the thai people, they just might let you and your cronies/Toxin fall like the proverbial "hot potatoe"
For this I say already "HARD LANDING"

..... " we will show our civil disobedience and ignore his order,...”

And this shows the Red Shirt mentality perfectly.

i suspect that this is just noise and that the party probably won't go ahead.

However, I wish the Great Leader the best birthday and may he be back to lead the country soon as he was democratically elected to do so....
