Pongthep Thepkanchana, spokesman for former premier Thaksin Shinawatra, on Monday denied being the source of the controversial audio clip of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.

Mr Pongthep's statement came after Democrat Party's spokesman Buranat Samutharak said that the sound clip of Mr Abhisit ordering a tough crackdown on anti-government protesters in April was distributed during a seminar of the 111 Foundation, which comprises banned politicians of the dissolved Thai Rak Thai Party.

Mr Ponthep said he believes there are attempts to connect the former Thai Rak Thai Party to the controversy.

Mr Abhisit denies ever issuing such an instruction, and the says the clip was edited by ''ill-intentioned people'' to show the government in a bad light.

Interesting, that - so many days after this non-issue first surfaced - the Democrat Party is still naming new perpetrators on an almost daily bases.

Doesn't exactly contribute to the credibility of the story, does it?

I call upon the Democrat Party:
In stead of constantly adding to the huge rift in our society by seemingly unfounded accusations, SHOW US CREDIBLE PROOF, in the form of a truly independent expert report. It will likely add several percent to your - presently single-digit - support base.

    I dare you. Do you?

Connect TRT 111 with the controversy? What interest does a bunch of sidelined corrupt elitists have in disrupting the country and derailing their political enemies?

This childish back and forth is almost as funny as calling UDD/Reds grassroots. If there ever is a grassroots movement, it will be one to throw ALL of these crooks in jail, Peau Thai and Democrat.
