More than two million people in Thailand may have been infected with swine flu but most of them should now be immune to the virus, the Bureau of Epidemiology reported on Monday.
"There are over 100,000 confirmed cases of A(H1N1) flu nationwide, but about 60 million Thais are not immune to the disease yet," Public Health Minister Witthaya Kaewparadai said after presiding over the 'Taxis against Swine Flu' campaign.
More than 200,000 taxi drivers joined the campaign.
Animal testing of the H1N1 vaccine should begin in about three weeks, Government Pharmaceutical Organisation director Withit Utthawetchakul said.
