Fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra believed Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva may have no decision-making authority.

Thaksin said in a radio interview on Sunday that he did not know who he could discuss problems in the country with.

"Prime Minister Abhisit and Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban have never contacted me to discuss issues in the country. I'm ready to talk with government leaders, including Mr Abhisit, even though I believe he may not have the authority to decide," the ousted premier said.

Thaksin also said in his Twitter message that he was not ill as rumoured.

Why doe'nt the mayor of Korat ask the pickpocket Somsuk for advice as to the bus-service there and how to improve on it. Why does'nt he?
Simply because he is a 'normal' kind of a man.
    And in No Way stupid.

Now, Why does'nt our P.M. ask Taksin how to improve in things Thailand.
Well, I'll tell you. Because he is as normal as the mayor in Korat.
The stupid one in our case ist the gangster who thinks he is fit + able to give advice to anyone

And so,,,,,,Mr. "TakSIN", why would anyone want your opinion, or even care what your opinion is?

You are a bad person, Buddha will not protect you because of your sins against Thailand.

Abhisit probably hasn't consulted with Thaksin because he is a FUGITIVE. A seditious, sidewinding crook with absolute no credit, no credentials, and having looked back on his two fraud filled terms, nothing worth noting. He rode the wave of a regional economic come back, butchered 2000+ in a botched drug war, and changed the laws to suit his personal business. Unless Abhisit is looking to get thrown out of office and marooned in Africa, I can't see why he'd want Thaksin's advice.

Mr Abhisit declares himself to be in the driving seat . So be it , the car is full of backseat drivers and has multiple controls .

    WOW look at all the pro PADies, unelected Democrat supporters and Thaksin haters. Golly, Thaksin has been gone for three years almost and he still stirs them all up;

hasbro sums it up beautifully; "All this bickering is pointless. The one and only point is that in order for a real democracy to evolve you have to respect the peoples choice,"

    and

RicefieldRadio follows up with "read all the comments and the one saving grace is we won't let most of you vote in this country.

On one point Thaksin was 100% correct- Our PM does not have the capacity or authority to make decisions unless he is told to. Thus all the waffling on his part, he's only a front man nothing more, nothing less."

For me, don't you just love the term "Fugitive" I can't help thinking that it is possible that we have some "FUGITIVE" government/opposition politicians who just haven't been convicted yet (for some reason) and still living in this country getting paid.

No doubt Prime Minister Abhisit is probably a nice guy, but someone else is pulling his strings otherwise he would not be PM today. Who are they? I think that is what Thaksin is saying.

"Prime Minister Abhisit and Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban have never contacted me to discuss issues in the country" REALLY the arrogance of this man is beyond belief.A convicted criminal with many more court cases awaiting him wants a say in solving the country's problems, the majority of which can be attributed to him.If he really wants to discuss the issues nobody is preventing him from returning to Thailand as he is perfectly free to do so.There is only one word to describe why he will not return of his own free will."COWARD"

While I agree with much of what you say I don't think it's as simple as respect the peoples choice when there is so much corruption, fiddling and chicanary going on.
I don't believe you can have any real democracy without an effective rule of law, which Thailand doesn't have.
Democracy or any system needs rules and laws to function properly.
The Thai people in general seem to have no respect for any kind of rules. This goes right through society from top generals and politicians to teenagers on motorbikes, everybody does anything they want regardless of how it affects others.
In this climate it is impossible to have any kind of fair election.
The only way Thailand could have a fair election would be if they allowed foreign observers to monitor it but of course they will never do this.
Therefore it is impossible to have any real democracy here and any appearance of such is just a sham.
