PM Abhisit visits Songkhla

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva had late Saturday morning left for Hat Yai of Songkhla to meet leading businessmen and community leaders of the three southernmost provinces.

The premier will also meet local people in Hat Yai to listen to their problems.

Asked about the police board planned to meet on Sep 2 to appoint high ranking police officers, Me Abhisit, also chairman of the police board, said most board members agreed to move ahead with the plan even if there is no police chief.
