Prosecutors want to question another two witnesses before formally indicting former Bangkok Bank of Commerce executive Rakesh Saxena, who fled to Canada to avoid embezzlement charges, Seksan Bangsombun, chief prosecutor for economic and resource cases, said on Monday.

He would be prosecuted as soon as the case against him was complete and witness testimonies checked.

Mr Seksan said the prosecution wants to ensure there are no flaws in the case because it involves a huge amount of money.

He expected everything would be ready for an arraignment to go ahead within a month.

Police investigators were due to hand Mr Saxena's statements to police to the prosecution this afternoon.

Mr Saxena was questioned after his arrival in Thailand late on Friday night and is being detained at the Bangkok Remand Prison.

It's been 13 years, if the case isn't complete by now it never will be.

Maybe there just isn't any real evidence, wouldn't that be a hoot.
