Simon, I def agree with you. It seems the Bangkok Post lack details for so many of their stories. That little bit is always missing? Why dont these reporters go join the Highschool Journalism club again or something.

Whats the point of writing a story and not telling the "why"? Absolutely unbelievable and sad that our writers lack the ability to convey a news story.

Its as if you had an intern write this story.
Sorry to be so demeaning but, comon. If your ideals are to let our country spread its wings, then the leading newspaper could/should be a place to start.

    Cheers.

Sanual SIMPSON #5: I understand you. Kind of like the surname Simpson would stink for some when they think of OJ Simpson?

Maybe the surname Simpson should be investigated...?

    Guilty of being ludicrous.

I bet this story gets changed by tomorrow morning in typical Orwellian style.

Tomorrow's Bangkok Post article and indeed every newspaper will NOT be reporting that Chaisit's van swerved into the middle of the road but indeed it's thought that the motorcycle swerved into the centre of the road and the student is not being tested for alcohol....

    I bet.....

Let's see living proof of the way the Thailand is.

That man with a stinking surname like that should be investigated, now it all depends on whether the authority has the balls to do it. This sort of person should be brought to face justice but as far as I know of Thailand, that man with a funny surname would probably get away for killing an innocent motorist and injuring another. If this happens in Australia or Singapore, they would not be spared just because they are some hi-soul cheapies with funny surnames, anyway lives are so cheap in Thailand, all the rich people get away with crimes!!

In the Nation, the students who were killed were apparently not even important enough to mention.

Was the pillion rider, who also suffered a broken leg, rushed to the same hi class hospital by helicopter ( paid and maintained by the taxpayers money ) ? Or was she "thrown" in the back of a pickup truck ?
When will the thai people stand up against these military oppressors !!!!

This story should be investigated. Why is there nothing in the above about why the van crossed the center strip? Was it doing a u-turn or out-of-control?

Do be afraid to print the truth, please. It seems reporters give little detail for fear of giving a detail which someone might not like.

Of course like every other Hi-so in Thailand I am sure the General's car was driving at a high speed and driving as if they own the road.
