SET index up 2.68%

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) composite index on Wednesday gained 17.93 points or 2.68 per cent to close at 686.41 points. The trade value was 18.78 billion baht, with 3.29 billion shares traded.

The SET100 index rose 30.29 points or 2.98 per cent to close at 1,046.31 points, with a total turnover of 15.39 billion baht.

The SET50 index stood at 483.69 points, up 14.19 points or 3.02 per cent, with a total trade value of 13.73 billion baht.

The Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) index climbed up 3.37 points or 1.60 per cent to stay at 213.75 points, with total transaction value of 438.27 million baht.

Top five most active values were as follows;

PTTEP closed at 134.50 baht, up 4.50 baht or 3.46 per cent.

PTT closed at 236.00 baht, up 8.00 baht or 3.51 per cent.

SCB closed at 80.00 baht, up 3.50 baht or 4.58 per cent.

KBANK closed at 79.25 baht, up 3.00 baht or 3.93 per cent.

PTTAR closed at 21.70 baht, up 0.70 baht or 3.33 per cent.
