Cambodian people entered Thailand through the Had Lek border crossing in Trat province to buy goods as usual on Friday morning, Klong Yai district chief officer Phawat Lertmukda said.
“Trat and adjoining Koh Kong district in Cambodia have enjoyed good a relationship for years. The dispute between Thailand and our neighbouring country does not have any effect on border trade here,” Mr Phawat said.
Trat Chamber of Commerce chairman Prasert Siri also said border trade between the two countries was continuing as normal.
Thailand was still exporting goods to Cambodia along highway 48 in Cambodia without any disruption.
In the eastern border province of Sa Kaew, business was also reported to be normal at Rong Klua border market opposite Cambodia's Poi Pet.
