Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra will send an open letter to Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva explaining why heaccepted the job of adviser to the Cambodian government, his close associate Noppadon Pattama said on Friday.

Thaksin has been appointed by King Sihamoni of Cambodia as personal adviser to Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and economic adviser to the Cambodian government.

Mr Noppadon  accused the government of verreacting by recalling the ambassador to Phnom Penh, saying it would affect diplomatic relations between the two countries, put  border trade at risk and might even lead to conflict.

He urged Mr Abhisit to review his decision and negotiate with Mr Hun Sen.

i wonder how you can call PAD a democratic movement...i would call it a people's/group's movement.

if PAD had EVER installed the true democracy and freedom, thailand would be much better for everyone, Cambodia included without talking about soldiers' lives that had been wasted during politically motivated armed conflicts. sad to read your lines.

Approximately one third of the Cambodian population is living under the poverty line with less than 30 baht per day!
Hun Sen...what do you have done for them, during so many years at the head of the Cambodian Government?....Nothing!
Can the new Cambodian adviser in economy, to suggest offering the equivalent of 1 million baht to poor villages? (As he already done in Thailand!)
I am waiting to see the Hun Sen’s face...

Jean, Hun Sen is one of the leaders we need in Cambodia. Sorry, we do not need the typical PAD alike in Cambodia. Your argument or intention is basically not welcomed for Cambodians and Cambodia. Sam Raingsy is good and we love him too.

If some brave Cambodians would be able to build a popular alliance that looks alike the Thai P.A.D., and succeeds to boot out Hun Sen, and installs the true democracy and freedom, the things will be better for the two counties.

I am Khmer. I do not want Thaksin in Cambodia to attack Thailand. And we do not see in many ways that we want to attach Thailand. We just hope that Thaksin would be reunited with his home country. I do know why Thailand has too many words bad things about Cambodia. I do not know when does Cambodia attack or grasp Thai's land. Can anybody tell me how the 4.6km and the preah vihear case be solved, if you are Thais? We have requested a bilateral talk but none of your senates would solve it. You kept away the minutes of the hard working Joint Border Committee (JBC). (2) Cambodia has asked to go to ASEAN and even furthers? Does Thailand have the will to proceed with any of the alternatives????????

I am very disappointed on how the thai society perceive Cambodians and Cambodia. We are totally the victims. There are no justified views from the thai side.

Many time, in the thai press, it s all about Khmer is the enemy! Khmer aggress thai's land, Khmer interferes Thais...are you guys so obvious with this??

    Please post my comments.

    Thanks
    Dara

Yes Thaksin, do explain why you are serving another King and another government. And while you're at it, explain how this is going to help eradicate poverty in Issan where you claim your heart is. And how constantly undermining the government, causing riots, and wasting poor people's time to come out in the rain and listen to you insult their intelligence doesn't equate to treason.

Thaksin is obviously on a mission to destroy Thailand. The man, and his PTP cronies are treasonous. They have done NOTHING to advance the cause of the rural poor, besides exploiting them for their own ends, and have maintained a constant menace to Thai society, stability, and security.

Thaksin's behavior is the greatest case against himself, and why it was necessary to dislodge this 3rd world banana republican from office.

Cambodia is a sewer because of its corrupt government - it doesn't surprise me that Hun Sen would welcome this culprit with open arms. This has descended into lunacy. And people still backing him are either mentally ill or well paid.
