Thaksin to explain Cambodian case

Fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra posted a Twitter message on Sunday, saying he will explain the Thai-Cambodian situation on Tuesday.

"You may wonder why I have not spoken about the Cambodian issue. Let he government and the Foreign Ministry do the craziest things they want, then I'll explain the situation on a radio programme this Tuesday," the message said.

The diplomatic ties between the two countries turned sour after Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen appointed ousted premier Thaksin as his economic advisor. Thailand then recalled its ambassador to Phnom Penh, and the Cambodian government later pulled its ambassador out of Bangkok.

The Thai government announced Friday it may back out of an offshore border agreement with Cambodia.

The more severe the issue, the more desperate the explanation, the more desperate the explanation, the more severely it reinforces what one is so desperately trying to explain away.

Bottom line: If you must explain yourself -- you've already lost.

    Explain what?

How can the former head of state for one country go serve for another country's government? They can't.

I've never heard of the likes of this before, it is absolutely treasonous and preposterous.

Most Thais are jealous at Thaksin's business talents. They hate Thaksin but do not like thaksin to be an adviser to Cambodia. If he is bad, he will advise Cambodia in a bad way, why need to feel hurt?

Thaksin is a corrupted person, so let him teach Cambodia how to corrupt.

Thaksin has been removed by the coup, so let find justice back for him. He is elected by the people but not Abishit.

Where is justice? PAD has the justice with them, Kasit as well.

Thaksin is a hero! You guys can get jealous but you cant replace him.

    thanks for the post.

Looking forward now to hear what the innocent Mr. Thaksin, the 1000 per cent perfect person, come with this side of the story with Cambodia. The man who never has done anything wrong, lets hear about the soft loan to Burma. Or what about all the otehr graft cases waiting for the innocent Mr. Thaksin, he never talks about that. Perhapos because he consider himselves above the law.

What you will see on Tuesday is the typical egomaniacal approach to "Pi nong, I am touched that Cambodia has invited me to be their business adviser, but I love Thailand too much. I just cannot do it. It would pain me so much to help Cambodia get better when I can do so much more for my beloved Thailand. Blah blah blah...."

In other words. Oh.... ****, I messed up, let's just say that the press and everyone else misunderstood me again about my intentions. I never meant to help Cambodia, I just wanted to show the world that a murderous dictator still believe in me enough to give me a job and with the money I will invest in his casinos and the secret I will tell him that I know about Thailand when I was a PM, he will do whatever it takes to make sure that the Thai government has no time to focus on the economy. If I can do that long enough, and when that has harmed the country long enough I can simply say: "See, what a bunch of idiots... they don't know how to lead the country."

The kind of person that does this is not worthy to ever lead the country again. No matter what he may have done right, he has crossed the line many times and the only reason Thailand is going through this is because of his self-serving agenda.

It is the whole concept of 'Thai Rak Thai' that has created problems with other races and countries in the first place.

The whole TRT, PPP, PT group of parties have only done one think. Divide the country so that people fight among themselves. If all regular people fight among themselves, then the crooked politicians can get away with corruption and fraud because nobody is paying attention.

Don't forget that the problems started after PT's Chavalit went to Cambodia and after the PPP party signed an illegal agreement with Cambodia about Phra Viharn.

If there is support from Cambodia, it is only because Cambodia is the safehaven from criminal politicians who flee across the border and shelter themselves in the casinos that they profit from and that they hope they can get legalized in Thailand.

    Check your values people!

The real problem in Thailand are Abisit, Suthep & Chamlong. They are so afraid that Thaksin is coming back.

The Super Hero needs a lot of days for few explanations!
It seems that Super T. is more and more cornered!

    Bondy

Using Pad as a defence for Mr T's actions is simply not justifiable. Thaksin is a convicted fugitive who has not appealed his sentence. He is now being harboured by a neighbouring country's PM and in doing so Hun Sen is deliberately straining the relationship between the 2 countries. I suspect that Mr T will now have to relinguish his new advisers post with immediate effect to endear himself once more to the Thai nation. To not do so will only serve to make him more unpopular with the nation.
