The Thai government had never sent a spy to seek information on flight schedule of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra as accused of by Cambodia, Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said on Saturday.

Mr Suthep was responding to an accusation by Jatuporn Promphan, a core leader of the pro-Thaksin United front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD), that the government was behind the information spying.

“The flight schedule of Thaksin was not a secret as the government knew that he was flying by his personal jet from India to Cambodia on Tuesday morninhg ”, Mr Suthep said.

Cambodian police on Thursday arrested Siwarak Chotepong, an engineer at Samart Coorporation’s sudsiodiary in Cambodia on charge of spying.

Mr Suthep insisted that Mr Siwartak’s arrest will not escalate the diplomatic dispute and lead to a border closure as some fear.

The actions of the Thai government is that of an emotional distressed person. Easily panicked and confused... Get a grip! Show some direction. Don't be so insecure about Thaksin. Worry more about your policies and whether it benefits the people. If not, that will end up toppling you.

Given the Thai government's position it would be odd if they had not done everything possible to establish Thaksin's comings and goings. This would surely include employing "intelligence". However it is customary always to deny charges of spying. My guess is that they did try spying and that they were caught out. Oh, what a shame.

Khun Suthep seems to be on different page of the spy story than Khun Kasit. Khun Kasit denies spying to find Khun Thaksin's plans to leave Cambodia. Khun Suthep denies spying to find out Khun Thaksin's plans to arrive in Cambodia.

    Get your stories straight gentlemen.

Khun Suthep also says that the government didn't send any spies. That's what the Cambodian's say also. According to the Cambodian government, the arrested alleged spy and his Thai Embassy contact were already in Cambodia working when the alleged incident took place.

I really don't understand why both countries could not sit and talk together peacefully. Why the Thai parliament did not take action? I think to solve the problem by bilateral mean was not effective, so it is better to do with multilateral mean. ASEAN or International Community should help to finish this conflict. Please finish it asap, then get back to work for the people's interest.
