SET index up 1.21%

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) composite index gained 8.42 points or 1.21 per cent to close at 706.75 points on Monday. The trade value was 18.78 billion baht, with 2.80 billion shares traded.

The SET100 index rose 14.36 points or 1.35 per cent to stay at 1,078.13 points, with a total turnover of 16.02 billion baht.

The SET50 index stood at 498.77 points, up 7.02 points or 1.43 per cent, with a total trade value of 13.79 billion baht.

However, the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI) index lost 0.53 point or 0.25 per cent to close at 213.90 points, with total transaction value of 591.04 million baht.

Top five most active values were as follows;

BANPU closed at 494.00 baht, up 26.00 baht or 5.56 per cent.

CPF closed at 11.60 baht, up 0.70 baht or 6.42 per cent.

PTT closed at 238.00 baht, up 2.00 baht or 0.85 per cent.

PTTEP closed at 138.00 baht, up 2.50 baht or 1.85 per cent.

TTA closed at 29.50 baht, up 1.00 baht or 3.51 per cent.
