Thaksin: Government is harassing me

Fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra said in his Twitter website on Tuesday that he is being harassed by the Democrat-led government.

Thaksin complained that his personal jet could not enter Thai airspace, his passport was revoked, his royal decorations were going to be recalled and he was being stripped of his police rank.

In addition, there were attempts to link him with situations to discredit him, such as an accusation that he was behind the bombing at the mass rally by the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) at Sanam Luang on Sunday night.

More than 15,000 supporters of PAD joined the demonstration against Thaksin and Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen. A grenade fried from an M-79 launcher exploded in the crowd behind the rally stage injuring twelve people.

“If the harassment like this continues, I don’t know how long I can ask the red-shirt people to be patient and stay put,” Thaksin said.

Leaders of the pro-Thaksin United front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD), and their red-shirt supporters,  have publicly announced their intention to topple the government  before the end of this year.

Yes, I did read through some of the comments that people post. a few benefit to Thai people or Thai nation. Seem to me I feel liked others Nation still watching Thai high level dancing on the stage and Thai people insult each other on the floor I don't know how Thai people feel? did they feel shamely or not?
I think that way it is not polite for Thai, as one Nation in the World. The best way Thai should support one another, no matter who's TERM. The fact is leading the country for all.

God Bless Thai people and all,

The situation Khun Taksin is very very simple
come back to THAILAND, serve your jail sentence, return all the hundreds of billions of dollars you have stolen or fraudently obtained from Thailand that includes selling all your properties in Dubai.Nicaragua, London, Montenegro. British Virgin Islands, Hong Kong along with your gold and diamond mines in Africa, You Bombardier executive jet and the helicopter you purchase from the owner of Harrods in London Fahd. Of course this excludes the 76 Billion bht which is frozen in the banks of Thailand or may have been reduced by deceptive means. And the courts of Thailand use the terminology "Unusually Wealthy". My god what a gross underestimation along with the bastardisation of the English language or maybe there is something lost in the English- Thai translation?
I would also suggest to Khun Abhisit to read and interpret the statement Quote."“If the harassment like this continues, I don’t know how long I can ask the red-shirt people to be patient and stay put,” Thaksin said.
This in the English language is a threat of unmitigated proportions or plainly a call for "INSURRECTION" not bad for a deposed ex- prime minister who has been banned from politics, fled his country instead of spending two years in the Bangkok Hilton jail for vote buying and continues to cause mayhem from his Mosque from afar in Dubai. I can assure you that khun Abhist has no problems comprehending and understanding this statement as his English is perfect along with his political etiquette. He impressed the leaders recently at the A.P.E.C conference immensely in Singapore as can be observed by the many pictures beamed across the universe and reports from the diplomatic community. It is such a shame because he has a bunch of incompetent and self centred politicians around him.

Again we shall hear all the almost daily rubbish the innocent Khun Thaksin give us. The man who never has done anything wrong or done any misstakes.

The 1000 per cent perfect Thaksin should come back to Thailand and go to court and fight all the graft cases of abuse of power and corruption waiting for him. Is it 13 graft cases or more.

What happen about Mr. innocent Thaksin to sue Timesonline for all the lies the wrote abount him?. Perhaps already forgotten. Never whitewash Mr. innocent Thaksin without being tried in all the other charges.

I am a teacher that teaches English at a Thai University. My Thai students ask me a question...What is a word for a person who swore loyalty to a King and Nation and has knowledge and secrets of that government, then goes and works for another countries government? I told the class to take out their English / Thai dictionaries and look up a word in Thai or English...They all came up with the word...Traitor! See, Thai do understand that word Mr. Thaksin.

A good leader of a country must be someone who is able to bring properous life to his nations. During Thaksin era, it is clear that everyone is living better life; Abbhisit's government unfortunately has failed to provide nations with better life and income. Instead they only indulge in power struggling.

There is no corruption-free leaders, so, what the nation needs is someone who can bring better life to them.

    To all the red shirts.

I personally call for an armistice and lets all have a SAng som at a Mukata restuarant near my place. I will pay. It sounds like Taksin is ready to set you free. He is going to give up on you and help a bordering country make problems for al Thais.

lets forgive and forget and start anew. I think we are nearly at the stage where Pue Thai will be disowning Taksin and Chalavit so the government will be united very soon and will start to take Thailand forward instead of paying for the past.

    Come on see ya there.

Thaksin is pathetic. He is supposed to be in jail. he should be caught and put in jail. If Thaksin threatens the country, Thailand should go after him by whatever means necessary to end his crimes.
