New TAT governor chosen

Suraphon Svetasreni has been chosen by a selection committee as new governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, according to a TAT source.

Mr Suraphon, TAT deputy governor for marketing communication, was selected at meeting of the selection committee on Wednesday.

The other two candidates for the post were Col Nalik-atipak Saengsanit, acting director of the Organisation for Development of Special Areas for Sustainable Tourism, and Akkapol Prueksawan, a TAT adviser.
