King wishes for stability, prosperity

The country can have stability, prosperity and peace only if all Thai people perform their duties with sincerity, true intention and honesty, and put the country above self interest, His Majesty the King said in a speech from the throne on Saturday, his 82nd birthday.

"My happiness derives from the stability, prosperity and peace of our country,''  the King told members of the royal family, cabinet ministers, privy councilors, state officials and members of the House of Representatives.

His Majesty this morning left Siriraj Hospital for the Amarin Winitchai Throne Hall in the Grand Palace, where he appeared to his subjects.

His Hajesty called on all members of the country’s key institutions and the Thai people to perform their duty with sincerity, true intentions and honesty, and to put the benefit of the country above self interest.

“Stability, prosperity and peace can occur only when all Thai people know their duty and fulfill their responsibilities,”  the King said.

His Majesty thanked everyone for their best wishes for his happiness, strength and good health.

He blessed all Thai people and wished them happiness.

After the King delivered his address he returned by motorcade to Siriraj Hospital.

It was His Majesty's first public appearance outside Siriraj Hospital since he was admitted for treatment for a lung infection on Sept 19. The monarch has been seen on the hospital grounds twice in that time -- once on Oct 23, Chulalongkorn Memorial Day, and once on the night of Loy Krathong, Nov 2. The King earlier designated His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn as his representative to perform religious and royal ceremonies marking his birthday on Saturday afternoon and the ceremonies on Sunday morning. The Crown Prince will grant an audience to members of the diplomatic corps on behalf of the King at the Dusidalai Hall, Dusit Palace, on Dec 8.

So many wishes from all over the world, he is a very remarkable man of this century. Thou we cant say the same to others in the current government. Thailand only have one father, its sad to see his children are fighting with each other over the wealth of the country that does not belong to them. Very typical of asian society where children fight over parents wealth and power. His humble subjects should erect or name a monument after him to remind all his people that what you have today is because of His Majesty gifts, all future generations of children must be taught this lesson to regain some respect and dignity as being a true thai. A person's trust can be bought for 50 baht, his loyalty for 100 baht but his dignity and pride for the king must not be sold. I hope His Majesty message of holding hands like little children would inspire them to rethink about all the events of last 3 years. A simple Happy Birthday to His Majesty, the father of modern thailand.

May the power of triple gems: Lord Buddha, Dharma, and Songha including Pra Siam Devathiraja and all holy things in the world help protect His Majesty the King to be happy and healthy, and may he be with us forever. We love the king, the truly greatest father of Thai people.

A Great king who works & cares for his nation and people more than his people works & cares for him. Not many kings in the world are like him. Probably the one and only.

Long Live His Majesty The King !!!
