Senate Speaker grades the govt as a B

Senate Speaker Prasopsuk Boondej said on Thursday that he grades the Democrat-led government at a B for its first year in office.
“The Abhisit administration has been successfully settled the economic problems and is able to get the country out of global financial crisis. In addition, there was no clear evidence in the alleged corruption cases”, Mr Prasopsuk said.
He said what the government needs to improve are its achievements in creating reconciliation and in settling the problem of violence in far South.
The government should not shut its door or definitely refuse all conditions proposed by its opponents. It should be the starter in bringing about national unity without concerning about self-interest.
Asked whether he personally thinks there should be any cabinet reshuffle, the Senate Speaker stated that there should be some changes.
“The government knows well about the cabinet members who are being targeted. Ministers who are weak points, especially those overseeing social ministries should be removed. But economic ministers have been performed duty well”, he said.
