Koran burning to go ahead

An evangelical Florida church Tuesday vowed to press ahead with plans to burn the Koran to mark the anniversary of 9/11 despite mounting concern that it may endanger allied troops in Afghanistan.

NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen condemned the church's plans to mark Saturday's ninth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks saying they were "in strong contradiction with all the values that we stand for and fight for.''

And he warned during a visit to Washington "there is a risk that it may also have a negative impact on security for our troops.''

Fuad Kamal of Anaara Media is an Islamic extremist who says that Pastor Jones is an American wimp for shutting down his Koran burning. He says that's why Muslims will take over the world because the world is weak and all infidels will be dominated by Islamic rule.

I'm sure Jesus would be rolling in his tomb seeing this. What an absolute disgust that so-called christians would resort to such a low act. Reminds me of Nazi Germany when they also burned books that disagreed with their viewpoint.

Those in this church must be fundamentalist and interpret there on Bible incorrectly. Or did they? You can kill in the name of God in the Bible.

If religions set morals in society I am scared.

Are you serious? Religion is religion and has nothing to do with what happened on 9/11. Let's pay attention here! Koran's a book. It doesn't do stuff like crash a plane into a building.

Mr. Jones: this action is a disgrace...you and your church have not understood Jesus Teachings...Your are fanatics... Jesus gave us ONLY ONE COMMAND, READ IN THE BIBLE... "LOVE ONE EACH OTHER..." Another teaching: you have not learned to put your other cheek, God forgive all of you...

This is something they shouldn't do. Hurting someone's religious sentiment is not a good idea. Islam has got nothing to do with 9/11. No religion teaches us bad things. It's just the people who interpret the religion in a wrong way, and we call them fundamentalists.
