UN warn against Koran burning

The UN and an umbrella body representing aid groups in Afghanistan warned Wednesday that civilians and aid workers in the country could be killed if a US church goes ahead with a plan to burn the Koran.

The Dove World Outreach Centre, in Gainesville, Florida, plans to mark Saturday's ninth anniversary of the September 11 attacks by burning copies of Islam's holy book, in what it says will be a warning to radical Muslims.

The Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief (Akbar), a group co-ordinating the work of non-government organisations in Afghanistan, called on the "organisers of this irresponsible initiative'' to drop the demonstration.

Corporations in America have made trillions off this "clash of civilizations" they have been promoting for the last 10 years. They are behind the "ground zero mosque" google: Anatomy of a Globalist Propaganda Operation.

War = profits, they are behind 99% of the violence on BOTH sides.

Koran is the Koran and Muslim is the Muslim. We should be able to differentiate the two. Unless, someone has hidden agenda for the planning act.

I agree with your sentiments Stephanie. Islam should not viewthis Koran burning exercise as representative of all Western attitudes towards Islam. The misister in Florida is typical of any extreme fundamentalist. Personally I think he is an idiot and adding fuel to the fire. Where is the love, compassion and forgiveness that both the Bible and Koran preach?

I'm against burning any book. Books are to be read.

How about telling Muslims, that a small Church burning a Koran is no reason to go murder and riot? This is a perfect chance to tell Muslims they will be held accountable for their actions, they are not the perpetual victims, and if they want respect for Islam it must be earned.
