Planned Koran burning condemned

The planned mass burning of copies of the Koran in the US state of Florida drew worldwide condemnation Wednesday, with the Vatican saying it would be "an outrageous and grave gesture''.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the most senior US official to speak out against the burning scheduled for the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, branded the plan by a little known evangelical church as "disgraceful''.

EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton roundly condemned the planned act, while Arab League chief Amr Mussa dubbed the church leader Pastor Terry Jones a "fanatic'' and told AFP he was urging Americans to oppose the "destructive approach''.

Yes, this is a dumb and pointless act by a group of fanatical, ignorant people. But on the other hand, where are these voices of condemnation (including from the moderate Muslim world) when we hear the planned stoning of an Iranian woman? Female circumcision? Honor killings?
What is more sacred to these people? A book that was written hundreds of years ago or a human being who is alive now, and has every right to be prtoected against savage cruelty?

INFO #6: You may be right but we will probably never know for sure. However calling everyone who believes otherwise mentally ill is unfair. People have been so conditioned to buy into the whole Spiel they cannot be called that.

Having said that, it does sometimes appear planet earth is an asylum where the inmates have taken over...

No one has the right to disrespect Islam by burning its holy book. This is the faith practised by millions of good law abiding muslims world wide. Why turn a moderate into a fanatic by such a stupid act. How would he like it if clergy from other religions started burning the bible.
He may as well paint a large target on his forehead. Writers and cartoonists who have vulgerly insulted Islam in the past now spend a life watching there backs.
9/11 was a tragedy, but wounds have to be let to heal.

The good news is that this nutter has been refused a permit to burn anything. One light and he's off to jail. Hope they throw the book at him.

9/11 was an inside job. YouTube has several documentaries, "Fabled Enemies" "Invisible Empire" and "Loose Change: Final Cut" that definitively lays this to rest.

Operation Northwoods is real. Everyone that things 'bearded men in caves' are the real threat, and not globalists banksters, are mentally ill.

The globalists running these multi-Trillion dollar wars have no intention of bringing about peace. They are funding the "ground zero mosque" their intel-ops are behind nearly every attack on the West including 9/11, 7/7, and Madrid, and their media machine has been covering this 24/7 for the sole purpose of generating as much hate and division as possible.

"this will be the latest manifestation of religious terrorism, and it would ruin America's relations with the Muslim world"

--- Religious terrorism? This will ruin America's relations with muslims? Too funny. These backward islamist barbarians have no clue about civil rights and freedom of speech, or the concept of freedom in general. Agree with me or die is their motto. 9-11 was religious terrorism, not the burning of books which are private owned property. I read where a number of Imams called for death to all Americans everywhere in the world if this one nutty preacher burns the Koran. That's Islams idea of reason and justice!

When socalled radical muslims burn the flags and symbols of western countries I always notice all the socalled moderate muslims and the leaders of muslim countries standing up and publicly condemning the desecration of these flags and symbols.
Imagine if these images of muslim leaders and moderate muslims condemning the flag burnings were not shown on major tv channels, then westerners could easily be lead to think that most muslims must be radical muslims!

    Just a thought :-D
