Unesco to hear Thai viewpoint

The cabinet has told the Culture Ministry to inform Unesco that Thailand would not agree to it sending a team to inspect Preah Vihear temple at this time, acting government spokesman Panitan Wattanayagorn said on Tuesday.

Mr Panitan said the message would be passed on when special representatives from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) visit Thailand on a cultural exchange mission.

Unesco also plans to send officials to inspect what damage was done to world heritage site during the recent fighting in the disputed area between Thai and Cambodian troops.

UNESCO please search for thai permission first before send inspector to inspect the damaging of the PV temple otherwise you might getting shot at by mistake. just to remember thai make a lot of mistake in the past.

It means "business as usual" - because nothing is going to happen in the forseeable future to change anything.

There is no need to ask Thailand consensus. Preah Vihear temple was located in Cambodian territory, UNESCO please come to inspect the damage of the World Heritage temple.

The prime minister assigned the interior and defence ministries to build more bunkers for border villages and improve communication routes for evacuation in emergency.

Permanent ceasefire but to build more bunkers and improve communication route for evacuation!!! what does it mean?
