Iran demos under way

Several Iran opposition websites said that anti-government demonstrations had started in parts of Teheran on Sunday, as police said large numbers of security forces were deployed in the capital.

"Police fired tear gas as a cat-and-mouse game (between police and demonstrators) began in Vali Asr Square,'' the Rahesabz.net said citing witnesses.

Crowds of demonstrators were also gathering in other squares and some streets, shouting "Allahu Akar'' (God is Greatest), the Sahamnews.org website of opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi, said.

The few that reap the benefits in Thailand will reap from whovever they can. They have no preference as long as the money flows and in USD. Whatever "woes" Thailand has lays with Thai's and nobody else and goes way back.

At least in Thailand the oppressors have to take into consideration their international face. Not that they care all that much but after all, business is business and so is self-delusion. Links with the US have been and still are strong. In fact much of Thailand's woes are the result of kowtowing to the US and only a few reaping the benefits. Most Thai leaders are two-faced.

Whereas Iran does not give a damn because it wants nothing to do with the US. Had a real revolution occurred there that might have been a good thing but now crazed men have taken over and they will do as they please to quell all opposition. They are not a two-faced, they are just lunatics with power.
