Nang Loeng police concluded that the three officers were not involved in the shooting

The DSI accepted the complaint as a special case in 2008 and later recommended the OAG to indict the three policemen.

Good work by the Nang Loeng police.

'Don’t they feel any responsibility, shame, remorse or any other human emotions after killing a child?'

Doesn't Thaksin, the man who set all this in motion, feel any responsibility, shame or remorse too ? Nah. Or for the 92 who died last year because of him ? No.

So achilds life is worth only 10,000 baht in the eyes of the court, double that for an adult, makes you wonder if that is all of the fine you must pay why some politicians and ex politicians are living

Notice that the case was only accepted by DSI when Thaksin has been thrown out and the current DSI people are in place (eventhough the PPP were in power). It took the boy's uncle 5 years for any cooperation in trying to seek justice.

No one dared question the devil while he was still in power.

Eight years after the killing of Nong Fluke and after Nang Loeng police lied about the tree officer’s involvement; the three shooters are not removed from the force and fined a pittance 10,000! Don’t they feel any responsibility, shame, remorse or any other human emotions after killing a child? They probably see it as a success story in the ‘war on drugs’! Innocent little Nong Fluke will never grow up to use drugs.

10,000 baht. That's what a child's life is worth in Thailand? Just over $300 US. Amazing Thailand indeed.

And no, not surprised these three walked away with a slap on the wrist. Why do you think Thailand is known across the world as one of the most corrupt countries. Just another example of it.

The drug killing spree was one of the few things that Thaksin did that appealed and still does appeal to the elite and middle-classes in (supposedly) helping them to protect their kids. Of course no big fish were shot, etc, etc.

Anyhow, I'm not surprised by this light sentancing. No policemen were supposed to come to trial in the fist place. All shootings were supposed to be blamed on rival drug gangs. This case should lead to another investigation into why the police were doing this and who else were shot by them. Everything that we know is unofficial with Thaksin and the police until now still officially denying a role.

That is a confusing report or confusing reasoning by the Court.

The reason given for the suspended sentence was that they were doing their duty and had been good boys up to then yet they were found guilty of recklessness causing death.

This appears to mean all police get one "get out of jail free " card.
