Most of the people believe Prime Minister-elect Yingluck Shinawatra is likely to be able to satisfy them in terms of ability to take the helm of the country's administration, Suan Dusit Poll revealed on Sunday.
Asked if they thought Ms Yingluck would be able to satisfy them with her performance as prime minister, 48.04 per cent believed she was likely to succeed judging from knowledge and capability of persons reported to be on the cabinet line-up, and 20.44 per cent said she would probably fare well, while the rest did not expect much from her and were not confident about the security of her government.
To the question what they wanted Ms Yingluck to do urgently, most or 46.87 per cent wanted her to solve the economic, problem, increase the mininum wage to 300 baht per day and give bachelor's degree graduates a starting salary of 15,000 baht per month; 17.94 per cent pointed to the problems over drugs, influential persons and crime; 11.46 per cent mentioned security and border problems; 11.03 per cent wanted to see education reform and development; and 7.66 per cent wanted her to concentrate on reconciliating people in the country.
