A court in Germany has released the Boeing 737 seized from HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn, former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said on Tuesday.

    Abhisit and others got their moment to make a loud nationalistic statement to the press right before (or after?) quietly being informed by their lawyers that they didn't have a snowball's chance in Hades of winning.

    Abhisit and the ex-foreign minister Kasit had screwed up the whole thing into a mess from the beginning. They said they'll fight to the end in the German court, but what now!

    Perhaps the headline should more accurately read, "Thailand pays bond for release of impounded jet". I am now looking forward to the headline which says, "Thailand finally pays of debt to German company."

    Wow, getting Thailand to live up to its financial responsility is no simple task. Yet the Thai governments involved feel no lose of face over this issue. Weird.
