Abhisit appointed opposition leader

A royal command has been issued appointing Abhisit Vejjajiva as leader of the opposition in the House of Representatives.

The royal command, dated Sept 16, was delivered by Pithoon Poomhiran, the House secretary-general, and received by Mr Abhisit in a ceremony held at the Democrat Party headquarters.

Mr Abhisit, the leader of the Democrat Party, said in an official ceremony for him to receive the royal command, said he would perform his duty in this position in the interests of the people and the country to the best of his ability in democracy.

Isn't Khun Abhisit being appointed as Shadow PM recently? Why isn't there a ceremony for this Shadow PM appointment?? lol lol

Btw, was there such appointment of an Opposition Leader when Khn Abhisit was in power?? Can someone help with the answer?

Congratulations Abhisit. I'm sure the Thai people hopes that you will keep this function a long long time. Not only 3 or 6 months, the democracy needs more time.
