Democrat: Yingluck a 'puppet PM'

The assignment given to cabinet members of the Pheu Thai Party by former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra yesterday via a Skype internet conference showed clearly that Yingluck Shinawatra is just a puppet prime minister, opposition chief whip Jurin Laksanawisit said on Thursday.

“It is clear that Thailand now has two government leaders. The first one [Thaksin] is the real prime minister and the second is a puppet. This should not have happened,” he said.

Apart from having the duty to run the country, Ms Yingluck was also duty-bound to protect the dignity of the office of prime minister of Thailand, Mr Jurin said.

    Why not leave her alone...She won the election...that's all...finish...

    Regardless of what he said or did not say, the guy is a convicted criminal who had his passport revoked for goodness sakes.... I know it is a silly question, but in a normal government, what in the world does he have any business calling into any meeting for except to negotiate his surrender to the authorities. I can't even think of a good analogy to express how messed up this is.

    Disc 39 - Yellow Bob, Did you ever complain about Newin meeting with Abhisit and Suthep to prop up the Democrat government? Nope. You are a prime example of what the Reds call double standards.

    Charlie and the Red Shirt lovers...
    Thaksin was banned from politics for five years. That period hasn't expired yet. Therefore every phone call, meeting, video conference is illegal and an offense to the judicial system.

    I wonder if he will face charges for these crimes too.

    I totally agreed with everyone here!, but I don't see there is anything wrong with Ms. Yingluck seeks avise from her brother Thaksin which was legally elected ex prime minister while Abhisit raised into power by the coup. it would be much better if Thaksin's advice would help to improve the well being of the nation. I don't see anything wrong with Thaksin given advise to his little sister, because the world leaders have given advise to each other daily bases. stop calling Thaksin a convict or a fugitive, his conviction got a mind set before even put him on trial.

    Lesson to learn is never believe a word that comes from this family. Lying is just a norm for them. The ex used to promise that he won't return to politics. Then the current sworn in saying that she'd work for the people and not for a particular person or group of people. They are all full of lies.

    I knew it! Her brother is more important for her than the People of Thailand. Where are all the election promises? Students are still waiting for the promised iPads.

    @Disc 25 - Dr. T hasn't taken any responsibility for his selfish actions, insisting on his innocence. Maybe you think he is still as innocent as a little boy.

    PT's campaign slogan already speaks for itself, the people who voted and supports their cause are just naive. PT are laughing their way to the bank.

    Again, there is no argument, Thaksin thinks, Peua Thai does. This wasn't something the Democrats came up with to malign PTP, this was honest to God, the PTP's official campaign slogan they put on signs all across the country!!! Yes she is a puppet, without a shred of political acumen to speak of, and virtually unknown of until Thaksin himself thrust her in as his place holder. It's a joke, and if any one truly cares about real democracy, they would no more support PTP and its UDD street front than they would the Democrats or PAD.

    Disc 30 - "fighting for the arrest and prosecution of coup makers, supporters and financiers" Isn't that worth fighting for?

    Disc 31 - "most his decisions were clearly his own" {Please insert your ID here}
