Chao Phraya level to drop mid-Nov

The amount of water in the Chao Phraya river is expected to return to normal levels after Nov 15, the Royal Irrigation Department announced on Wednesday.

Vira Vongsangnak, deputy director-general of the Royal Irrigation Department, said this at a press conference on the water levels in various parts of the country.

Representatives of the Meteorological Department were also present.

    Is there something unusual here? That is the normal time of the year when the river returns to normal. If you want my 2 cents worth, they don't have a clue. The river has been at the 'normal' level of October since the end of August! That is a fact and if they believe that some miracle is going to prevent the 'normal' monsoon rains from occurring they need to visit a new seer. Keep your flood gear ready.
