Hungarian fugitive apprehended

A man believed to a fugitive high on the list of wanted criminals in Hungary and who escaped to Thailand, has been arrested after living on Koh Samui for four years, police said on Friday.

The man is believed to be Sos Laszlio Zoltan, 42, who carried a fake passport in the name of Tomoer Zsorlt, a Hungarian who looked somewhat like Zoltan.

He was arrested on Thurday while he was in Khuan Don district of Satun in the South and heading out of the country through the Malaysian-Thai border there, Pol Lt Gen Wiboon Bangthamai, commander of the Immigration Bureau, said on Friday.
