Wall Street protests spread nationwide

As anti-corporate demonstrations spread across the United States, the protesters claim they are inspired by the revolutions in the Middle East, but protests over economic grievances in Europe would be a closer comparison.

"Occupy Wall Street" demonstrators stage a protest near Wall Street in New York, October 3, 2011. The protestors, speaking out against corporate greed and other issues carried on their occupation of Zuccotti Park, near the New York Stock Exchange, despite mass arrests over the weekend.

When anti-capitalist activists first unfolded sleeping bags and brandished handmade placards in a small park near Wall Street two weeks ago, they said they were following the example of Egyptian protesters in Tahrir Square.

Nor old nor young I consider myself of the generation that left the current global mess for the youth of today t deal with. Their actions now must not be condemned. They are fed up with inheriting a house of cards.

Good luck to these people and may the best of them lead the way to creating a better world.

What is so clear everywhere n the world is the law enforcement (and unfortunately too often the military) are really too often uniformed and sanctioned thugs protecting the powerful and wealthy against the people.

By the shape of things worldwide the madmen have taken over the asylum...and keep a firm grip.
