A man and a woman were shot to death in an attack by suspect militants in Sungai Padi district of Narathiwat province on Sunday, police said.
Pol Lt Pong-ek Chanta, the duty officer of Sungai Padi district police station, said at according to witnesses the two were travelling on a motorcycle from a house in Cho Airong District to the Sungai Padi market when they were followed by two men on another motorcycle.
The pillion rider opened fire at them with a pistol near Ton Mai Sung village in tambon Paluru of Sungai Padi district, killing them on spot.
